I really should write more; I've had a lot to say, but I feel so droopy lately.

Got myself in a bad rut staying up late (3 - 4am) and getting up late (noon). Gonna break it tonight by going to bed no later than midnight....I hope!

Painfull but necessary

Some people are like hemorrhoids. They itch, cause general discomfort and can be a real pain in the ass. You put up with them because they weren't always that way and you don't realize the gradual change until it becomes very apparent they are a major disruption in your life. You endure the inconvenience because it has become a part of your everyday life. It's hard, but the only way to get peace and comfort is to snip them out; be done with them.

Yes, it's difficult to eliminate people from your life, but when you finally realize what a drag they have become on your happiness and well-being, you have no other choice. And do it with finality; don't drag it out!

Now imagine if that hemorrhoid is a relative!!!

Creepy weather we’re having! From 90 to 60 in an hour! Got a couple of mosquitoes in the house somehow and they are dive bombing me, but I’ll get em in the end!

I started writing with nothing in particular to say, hoping something would come to mind as I went along, but that doesn’t seem to be happening.

Well Deserved

Well, the weener scandal made my day.  Mr. big mouth brought about his own destruction and I’m glad!  I believe he will be booted out of Congress and I hope his wife leaves him too.

Watched the movie ‘I Am Number 4’ and found it to be a pretty good sci-fi romance.

Lost Afternoon

Geez, I don’t know if I can stand much more of this!  There I was, sitting in my rocker/recliner, window open, a nice summer breeze blowing across my body, and watching TWO Chicago baseball teams play ball! The wonders of one button channel switching! Not surprisingly, first one team loses and a short while later so does the second. I didn’t see #2 because by that time I’d dozed off for good; not waking for a solid 2 ½ hours!  Maybe I’ll watch a movie or two this evening…..with popcorn and margaritas!!

Wish I had the apples to make some more apple sauce. The batch I made the other day turned out fabulous. Think I’ll add cranberries next time….or rhubarb. Groan! I’m making my self hungry!

Does freedom of the press include outright lying? I guess so. And how did every reporter turn into an opinionated ‘analyst’? It’s hard to get the bare facts anymore on anything. You can be watching a police chase and the reporter in the helicopter is surmising on the driver’s childhood; that’s the kind of crap I’m talking about. Or a tv news show where the host pronounces that the person is guilty when reporting on an ongoing trial.

I don’t need someone making up my mind; just give me the facts.

I see where michelle Obama is making another trip to Africa and taking her whole damn family with her. Guess who’s paying. If she wants to help the underprivileged, why doesn’t she travel to the parts of OUR OWN COUNTRY that are underprivileged, undeveloped, etc? Maybe she’ll decide to stay over there….we can only hope!

Weeeener Gate….bahahaha! What a joke this guy wiener is! I hope they string him up from the top of the Washington monument!

Not much going on. My brother John and his wife Carolyn left for home to Chicago leaving me with several welcome loaves of rye bread. The kind you can’t get around here.

Have a taste for watermelon, so I’ll be going in to town tomorrow!

Snow In The Forecast

Yeah, wouldn’t that be sweet! It was just a matter of weeks since I was bitchin’ about the lingering snow and today I’m wilting in the 80+ degree sunshine! Pardon me while I sip some ice cold lemonade. ;)  I even thought about installing my air conditioners! I remember sweating my ass off putting them in and promising myself I wouldn’t wait till the last minute this year. Soooo, maybe I’ll do that…tomorrow!

I wonder if a person can stay in the pool all day, hmmm? Maybe someone living along the East coast could answer that question.
